1. Introduction
By using the Yenla platform, users agree to the following terms and conditions. These govern the relationship between users, merchants, Yenders, and Yenla, and apply to all interactions within the app. If you disagree with these terms, you should not use the service.
2. Eligibility
To create an account on Yenla, you must be at least 18 years of age or have parental consent. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and understand that you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details.
3. Scope of Services
Yenla provides a platform for ordering food, groceries, local products, and parcels within Douala. Our app connects users to merchants and Yenders for a seamless delivery experience, but we are not responsible for the physical production or quality of products provided by merchants.
4. Ordering Process
Orders can be placed through the app by selecting products and confirming payment. Once an order is confirmed, it cannot be modified. Users may cancel orders within a specified timeframe, and orders will be delivered by Yenders according to the estimated delivery time.
5. Pricing and Payment
Prices listed on the app may vary by location, merchant, or promotional offers. Users can choose from various payment methods, including mobile money and card payments. You agree that all applicable taxes and delivery fees will be added to your total bill. In case of a payment failure, Yenla reserves the right to cancel your order.
6. Delivery Terms
Yenders will deliver orders within the estimated delivery window, but unforeseen factors such as traffic or weather may cause delays. Users may incur additional fees based on distance or special delivery instructions. Yenders will follow contactless delivery protocols when requested.
7. Merchant Responsibility
Merchants are solely responsible for ensuring the quality and availability of products. Yenla does not guarantee the condition of items provided by third-party merchants. Users are encouraged to report issues directly through the app for assistance with refunds or exchanges.
8. User Conduct
Users are expected to use the app in good faith. Any form of abuse, misuse, or illegal activity will result in suspension or termination of your account. Users are prohibited from sharing false information, harassing Yenders or merchants, or using the platform for fraudulent purposes.
9. Refund and Cancellation Policy
Users may be eligible for refunds if orders are incorrect, damaged, or not delivered within the specified timeframe. Refunds may be issued through the original payment method, subject to review by our support team. Cancellations must be made within the allowable timeframe to avoid penalties.
10. Promotions and Discounts
Promo codes and special discounts like #Yenlaeats are subject to specific terms and conditions, including expiration dates and limited usage. Yenla reserves the right to modify or cancel promotional offers without prior notice.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on the Yenla app, including logos, images, and text, is owned by Yenla or its licensors. Users are prohibited from copying, modifying, or redistributing any content without prior written consent. By posting reviews or other user-generated content, you grant Yenla the right to use it in marketing or promotional materials.
12. Privacy and Data Protection
Yenla collects and processes personal data such as your contact information, payment details, and location to provide and improve services. Your data is stored securely and will not be shared with third parties except for delivery or payment processing purposes. Users can review our full privacy policy for more details on data protection.
13. Liability and Disclaimer
Yenla makes no guarantees about the availability or quality of products and services. We are not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from the use of the app, including service interruptions or errors. Merchants and Yenders operate as independent contractors, and any disputes involving them must be handled in accordance with our dispute resolution policies.
14. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, users must first contact our support team to seek resolution. If no agreement is reached, the matter will be subject to binding arbitration under Cameroonian law. Users waive the right to pursue legal action in court, except for specific legal exceptions outlined by local laws.
15. Termination
Users may terminate their accounts at any time by contacting customer support. Yenla reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of the terms and conditions, fraudulent activity, or misuse of the platform. Upon termination, all pending orders will be canceled, and any outstanding balances must be settled.
16. Modification of Terms
Yenla reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes through the app or email. Continued use of the app after such changes will constitute acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage users to review these terms regularly.
